Melinda is well known for her warm, intuitive, funny ability to get the best out of her clients. Melinda is by definition a Pilates Teacher, rather than an instructor. Her Intentions are to teach each person she works with a skill set of how to look after their own body. Own their movement practrice. Empowering Every-Body.

Movement re-education is at the forefront of how Melinda approaches each client. Built on a diverse skill set, with an adaptive style of teaching, Melinda collaborates with clients and allied health professionals to achieve the most favourable outcomes - Quality of life.

Melinda has learned how to rehabilitate all injuries and ailments she has been presented with. She has an exhaustive ability for research and exploration combined with an intuitive and collaborative approach to working with clients.

Specialising in Womens Health for the last decade, Melinda began teaching Remedial Studio Pilates in 2004 - 20 years ago. Melinda was fortunate to be trained in Melbourne’s most renowned rehabilitation studio - The Intelligent Body. She then went onto further training with PITC. Gaining APMA Level 4 Membership (10,000 teaching) in 2009, Now PAA Professional Pilates Practitioner. To maintain membership, Melinda has completed 20 hrs `of Continuing Education each year.

The formative years of Melinda’s career had her working with a diverse range of clients such as: Women’s Olympic Rowing Team (london 2012)AIS Tri-Athlete and swimming team, Dr Paul Ohmsen, Orthopaedic Surgeon (Collaboration on Shoulder reconstruction and Hip replacement surgeries)

Since having her 2 babies in 2015 & 2017, Melinda has further diversified to specialise in Womens Health. Training with The Centre for Womens Fitness in Chicago and drawing from her own experience of creating a family, and the associated challenges. Melinda has experienced; Multiple Miscarriages, infertility from surgery infection, IVF, IVF Overstimulation, 42 weeks pregnancy, 3 day labour, Vaginally birthing a huge baby, Multiple Prolapses, Episiotomy, and a pretty serious Pelvic Floor tear (30% of the muscle torn off the bone, which she was told is untreatable & she should “get comfortable wearing liners”). Learning how to rehab her own pelvic floor, she has gone on to teach many other women how to heal, rehab and manage their own pelvic floor damage and go on with strong healthy bodies without surgical intervention. Along with working at a boutique Women’s Health Clinic in Melbourne in 2019-21. Needless to say, Melinda has her head around pregnancy, birthing and all things babies & children.
